I discovered Mr. Tapply late in my life and wished it had been sooner. His books and articles brought fly fishing to life for me and put in a human touch.

I was very sad to hear the news and want to send my thoughts and prayers to the family. My wife and I have been reading his books for years. If the family wishes to recommend a charity I would happily donate something in his memory.

I was very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I am a Lexington High School graduate-class of '58. I have enjoyed his articles about fly fishing and his mysteries.

I just read in the "Worcester (MA) Magazine of William Tapply's death. I am so sorry as I really, really loved his books. I was devastated when Phil Craig died and now I am devastated again. Rest in Peace!

Professor Tapply was a wonderful teacher and kind-hearted spirit. He helped me improve my writing during my time at Clark and was even gracious enough to sign a few of his books for my mother, one of his loyal fans. My heart goes out to his family. He was an exceptional human being.
