I was shocked and extremely saddened to have just heard of the death of such a great writer and wonderful human being. I was late to discover Bill but an instant fan. I first read the books he wrote with his friend Philip Craig and the wonderful eulogy he gave him. This saddens my heart. May he rest in Peace always.

I was distressed to hear that Willam Tapply had died. I have read his books for many years as I am a lover of mysteries and my son and husband are flyfishermen. Several years ago my son Brian spent a summer working on the Big Horn and got to know Bubba who was so pleased and proud to have known him and to have been featured in his book. With deepest sympathy for your loss.

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of William Tapply. I loved his books and just finished "Dark Tiger". I am really going missing his books and the books that he wrote with Philip Craig. So sad! Sincerely. Sylvia Reynolds

I am sad to hear of Mr. Tapply's passing. His writing felt like a comfortable pair of shoes or a well-worn fishing hat, refuge from the hashness and insanity of our world.
