Mr. Tapply was my professor for a year in 2003-04, and again for my last semester at Clark in 2007. I didn't learn of his passing until just today, and I can't express my sadness that he is no longer with us. He was an amazing mentor, and he always believed in his students. When I was in his class, I felt like I was Home. I will never forget him and everything he taught me. God bless.

I've just finished another satisfying Tapply read. I'm a few books short of "caught up" and wanted to belatedly let you all know how sound and enjoyable Mr. Tapply's works are. He is missed and his works are a good legacy to a noble life.

I recently picked up a copy of Cutter's Run, the first book I've read by Bill. I recognized the name as I'm a fly fisherman and I know his father was known for a particular fly named after him. Having enjoyed the book, I began to research for more writings, and when I found he had passed away it was a shock. While this is most belated, I do want to render my condolences to all Bill's family. Thank you for sharing his time to produce these wonderful writings.
May God continue to comfort you with his memory.

My first book William G. Tapply book I read was just a few months ago, Fighting Trolls, and I am now trying to find all of his books and read them. Imagine how shocked I was to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies to his family. Fortunately he left a lot of great books to still be discovered by me. It will be as if he was still here (at least for me).
