I am sad to hear of Mr. Tapply's passing. His writing felt like a comfortable pair of shoes or a well-worn fishing hat, refuge from the hashness and insanity of our world.

I was so saddened to read that Bill had passed away. I had just logged on to his website to see if he would be appearing at any local bookstores . I was looking forward to finally meeting him. I discovered Bill's "Brady Coyne" novels a couple of years ago and they instantly became my favorites. My wife Sandi had also just started to enjoy Bill's writing. We will both miss him greatly and wish to extend our sincere sympathies to Bill's family.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of William Tapply. I was never into reading until I hit my 40's and I loved the first Brady Coyne novel I read so I have been reading them. I decided to see if a new book was coming out and found this website. I never knew how many Brady Coyne novels William Tapply wrote but now I know I have alot more reading to do and I look forward to it. My deepest sympathy to his family and give the dogs and cat a hug for me.

My Bill Tapply story: Two years ago I published my first book. I got a great review. In my excitement I e-mailed the review to Bill (whom I had never met) stating that his success writing about the outdoors was one of my inspirations for doing so. Within ten minutes of sending the e-mail I had a reply from Bill congratulating me and stating, "It always feels good when the reviewer gets it." He didn't need to be so gracious.

I was extremely saddened to hear of the loss of Bill Tapply, one of the greatest sporting writers ever. He will be missed by this outdoorsman!
