Just found out Bill has passed away. Am in the middle of reading his complete collection of fiction. I will miss him!

I logged on to the website site to order William Tapply's yearly novel for my husband for Christmas. What a shock to find out the William had died. He is the only author my husband likes to read. I have enjoyed reading the novels also. He will be truely missed by both of us. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

I just moved from Colorado to Mt. Desert Island here in downeast Maine and reading Philip's books has kept me company for a while now and I very much have enjoyed the stories and his style, and tidbits about the vineyard where I have visited, hiked and sought out good food. I feel as though I have lost a friend and am sad, but celebrate Philip and his family and his contributions to me and everyone who has thoroughly enjoyed his books. My best to you all. Sincerely, Marsha Wiles

I'm very sad to learn of Bill's passing. Not only was he a fine writer, he was also a link to a whole nother era of sportsmen. The upland hunting community has lost a friend. Rest well Mr. Tapply and my sympathies to your family. Bryan Lee
