I especially enjoyed his collaboration with Phillip Craig, I hope they continue to fish and write together in their next lives. Such a sad loss for one who loved both the fiction and the facts, fishing or not. Best wishes to the Tapply family.

I loved his books and when I would email him, he would always respond back. A really nice person. He will be missed by many.

Just learned of Mr Tapply's death. will miss his writing. Now both Bill and Philip Craig are gone and both will be greatly missed.

It was Bill's books about fly fishing that brought me, at age 75, to try my hand at it. I was reasonably proficient for a beginner and am realizing the joy and peace it brings.
